More about Keira
If you’re looking for a gentle giant, Kiera might just steal your heart.
At an impressive 47kg, Kiera is all legs, love, and affection. She’s a real favourite around Dogwatch, well known for her signature Great Dane lean and her gentle nature with the people she knows and trusts.
Kiera came to Dogwatch through a local council transfer and has a special story of her own. She is a classified dog following a previous incident, and we’re happy to discuss her history openly with suitable applicants.
Before coming into our care, Kiera lived successfully in a home and has lovely house manners. She enjoys being around her people and is happiest when she’s included in family life.
Ideally, Kiera is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. However, for the right home, and with appropriate introductions and ongoing management, she may be able to live with an older, larger, well matched dog.
Kiera is currently receiving treatment for Happy Tail Syndrome and is recovering well.
Because of her classification, Kiera’s new home will need to meet specific legal requirements, including:
- Secure, compliant fencing.
- Wearing a muzzle whenever she is out in the community.
- A family willing to understand and comply with the conditions of her classification.
We’re looking for experienced owners, particularly those with large breeds or classified dogs, who understand that Kiera deserves to be judged on the dog she is today. She is affectionate, loyal, and has so much love to give to the right family.
If you think you could offer Kiera the home she deserves, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit an application or get in touch with our team to discuss whether Kiera could be the right fit for your home.
