🐾 Iris
Iris is a loving, affectionate girl who has only recently come into Dogwatch care. She is still new to us, and we will continue getting to know her as she settles in, but first impressions have been very positive.
From what we know so far, Iris is social and confident, enjoys the company of people, have been social with dogs in the past but need careful introductions as can be reactive to some dogs and we haven’t successfully mixed her with another dog at the shelter yet. She has been good with children but due to being bouncy and mouthy children over 13 years, loves hopping in the car for an adventure, and has shown no fearfulness around new environments or experiences. She has good basic training and a reliable recall off lead.
Iris has lived calmly on the road with her sister Maia, sharing food and toys without issue, and has been around sheep without showing interest. Health wise, she has had no known medical concerns.
As Iris is still settling into shelter life, we are learning more about her every day. What is already clear is that she is a happy, people loving dog, and we would love to see her spend minimal time in the shelter and move quickly into a forever home.
