Kaya is a beautiful 2-year-old girl with a rich sable coat and a gentle, sensitive nature. Her journey has taken her from the pound, into foster care, and now to Dogwatch, where she is waiting for a home of her own.
Kaya can be timid when she first meets new people and will need time and patience to build trust. But once she feels safe, she is incredibly sweet and loyal, a soft companion who forms deep bonds with her people. She has already shown, in a home environment, just how well she can settle and belong.
She has recently raised a litter of puppies and was a devoted mum. Now that her puppies are grown, Kaya is ready to be cared for herself and to enjoy the stability and love of a permanent home.
Kaya is house trained and has previously lived happily with children, cats, and two male dogs. She gains confidence from calm canine company and may benefit from a kind, steady dog companion.

Kaya is finding shelter life overwhelming and we would love to see her back in a home as soon as possible. With kindness and security, she will give her whole heart in return.
