Meet Louise

Louise is a one-year-old Ridgeback x Mastiff who has come into our care alongside her sister Thelma from the Waimakariri District. Both girls arrived feeling scared, shut down, and unsure of the world, but Louise has quickly begun to show her more confident and curious side.

While still finding her feet, Louise is the more outgoing of the two. She has a lovely spark about her and a natural curiosity that is helping her explore and make sense of the world around her. She can still be unsure at times, but she is braver in new situations and is starting to lean into new experiences with growing confidence.

Louise is new to us, and we are still learning more about her, but she has previously lived with other dogs, including her sister. With the right match, she may enjoy having a calm, social dog alongside her to continue building confidence.

She is looking for a home that will support her ongoing development with patience, structure, and gentle guidance. A home that can balance encouraging her curiosity while giving her reassurance when she needs it will help her continue to grow.
