Meet Maverick
Maverick is a clever, affectionate and inquisitive young dog with plenty of energy and personality. He is looking for an experienced, adults only home where life is calm, predictable and well structured.
This curious boy loves exploring the world through his nose. He will need regular exercise, plenty of enrichment and ideally a secure space where he can safely run, sniff and explore.
Maverick can become overstimulated and frustrated when there is too much happening around him. When overexcited, he may become nippy, so his new family must be willing to follow our guidance around managing overarousal, helping him settle and recognising when he needs some downtime. He’s looking for a nice and quite home he can settle into with good structure.
He is toilet trained, sleeps well in his crate and will sometimes take himself there when he needs a rest. At other times, he benefits from his people providing some quiet crate time to help him switch off. He is an early riser and does best when his days follow a consistent routine.
Maverick enjoys the company of other dogs and could live with a well socialised, slightly older dog who can be a calm and positive influence. His suitability with cats is currently unknown.
He loves enrichment activities and enjoys his meals served in a snuffle mat, frozen Kong, hoof or another activity that keeps his clever mind occupied.
Maverick is a special boy with so much potential. With experienced owners who understand his needs and are committed to providing consistency, appropriate boundaries and positive guidance, we believe he will flourish into a wonderful companion.
