More about Pepper
Meet Pepper!
Pepper is a gentle, affectionate girl who has captured the hearts of everyone she’s met. Recently, she underwent cruciate ligament surgery and is just finishing up her physio. Once this is complete, she’ll have a clean bill of health. While she won’t be a candidate for marathon runs, Pepper will thrive in a relaxed home where she can enjoy leisurely walks and plenty of time with her people.
At around four years old, Pepper was rescued from the Christchurch City Council Animal Shelter and has since been cared for in a loving foster home. Living alongside a young child, she has blossomed into a dog who adores children and thrives in a family environment. Pepper’s calm, loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion, whether she’s joining you for a car ride or snuggling in for a quiet evening.
What Pepper brings to her new family:
Walks beautifully on lead and shows no interest in birds
Social with other dogs, enjoying calm introductions
Absolutely adores children — currently living happily with a young child in foster care
Loves car rides and makes a fantastic travel buddy
Needs secure fencing and someone home often to help her settle
Best suited to a home with a flexible routine, as she can get a little worried when left alone — something that can be gently managed with support
Prefers a calm lifestyle with gentle activity and cuddly downtime
Pepper is ready to give her heart to the right family. Could that be yours?
