Meet Polly
Polly, a loving and active mixed breed approximately 1.5 years old rescued from the Christchurch City shelter September 2024
Lively girl with an endless supply of love to give! She’s always eager to learn and is highly motivated to make her people happy. Whether it’s training, playtime, or cuddles, Polly is ready to impress.
Personality: Polly is full of energy and enthusiasm, and she’s not shy about showing her affectionate side. She’s always “clocked in” and ready to learn, making her a great candidate for further training and activities.
Children: Polly is fantastic with children of all ages including babies and toddlers.
Cats: As you can see from her photo’s she is great with cats.
Socialization: Polly is reactive on the lead when she sees other dogs so needs slow patient introductions, this is something she will need ongoing training with.
Ongoing Training: Polly is reactive around gate areas in the home when people are approaching and needs ongoing training to help manage this, support and advice will be provided by Dogwatch. Please note Polly is fantastic with all people and is only reactive when she thinks it’s her job to “guard” the family.
Busy on the Lead: Polly is energetic on her walks, but she has great awareness of tension, meaning she responds well and can walk nicely on the lead with guidance.
