Meet Tom, estimated to be a one-year-old mixed breed. Tom came to us from the Ashburton pound and has quickly won over the hearts of everyone at Dogwatch. He’s a creature of comfort who loves snuggles, blankets, and being close to his human companions.
During his time at the shelter, Tom has shown great promise. He has already mastered commands like sit, paw, and down, demonstrating his intelligence and eagerness to learn. Tom also enjoys his walks and behaves well on a lead, making him a pleasure to take out for exercise!
As Tom is new to us, but has passed his tests with flying colours! He has done well with his cat meet and greet, as well and children! He is a large breed dog and will require regular exercise, ongoing training, and support to help him adjust to life in a home environment. His ideal home at this stage would be someone who can be flexible with time as he settles. Tom has shown potential to live with other dogs as well, but would require some help.
