🐾 Meet Hatchi! 🐾

Hatchi is a total ball of fluff and fun, recently welcomed into our care from the Christchurch City Council Shelter. This lovely Rottie x Huntaway boy is estimated to be around 4–5 years old, and he brings plenty of personality with him.

Hatchi is a playful, affectionate dog who absolutely lives for his ball. He’ll happily spend his time chasing, carrying, and showing it off, often accompanied by his classic Rottie “grumble” during play, which is all part of his charm.

Hatchi does have some vision concerns that we are currently investigating, and we will work closely with his future adopters to support this and ensure he has everything he needs to thrive. Because of this, he can be a little more sensitive in how he interacts with the world, and will need people who understand how to give him space and build his confidence gently.

He is dog social, though due to his vision he would be best suited to a calm, respectful dog companion who will allow him space and interact appropriately.

• Dog savvy adopters who can read his cues and advocate for him
• Older, dog savvy children who can give him space when needed
• A calm, respectful dog companion could suit – ideally female 
• Someone who enjoys play, especially a good game of ball
