Update 2/2/24 – Alpha is now in his home**
Say hi to our handsome Alpha, a 3 year old Greyhound x who came into our care from the Christchurch City Council Shelter. He is a social boy and has been great with people and other dogs so far. He has excellent house manners, is very tidy inside and is not destructive. His foster Mum says he is an awesome dog to live with and gets on super well with her two dogs. One of his favourite things to do is find somewhere comfy and warm to sleep – the bed and couch being a favourite!
He has been cat tested and we feel that he could live with a cat providing there is slow introductions and good management. He is not suited to a home with birds or other small creatures (rabbits etc). Alpha is very sweet and gentle, and would do well with a family with kids. He does need good containment as he finds birds are fun to follow but with some fence adjustments, he can be easily contained.
