Meet Frank, a 1.5-year-old mixed breed who’s earned the affectionate nickname Mr. Dog! Frank is not just a handsome face with his sleek tuxedo coat; he’s also a dog with a heart of gold and a personality to match. After patiently waiting at the Ashburton Council pound, Frank joined us at Dogwatch, quickly becoming a team favourite thanks to his gentlemanly manners and unique little behaviours!
Frank’s comical zoomies are a daily highlight, showcasing his playful and energetic side. Despite his playful nature, Frank knows when to switch gears—he’s mastered his basic commands within just a few weeks, proving himself to be a quick learner and eager to please. On walks, Frank is a dream, showing excellent lead manners and frequently checking in to make sure he’s on track, making him a fantastic companion for outdoor adventures.
Frank is a social dog who mixes particularly well with female and male dogs, and he’s always up for making new friends. While he’s still undergoing testing to determine his compatibility with small animals, cats, and children, we’ve seen enough to know that Frank has great potential as a loving family dog with the right support. His calm demeanor, combined with his playful energy, means he could fit well in a variety of households, especially those that can provide him with the structure and affection he craves.
