🐾 Meet Hank – A Special Soul Ready for His Second Chance 🐾

Hank is a 2.5-year-old mixed breed with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s one of those dogs who leaves a mark on your heart. Rescued from the CCC Pound, Hank came to us with a rough start – and sadly, his first days at Dogwatch weren’t easy either. But with time, patience, and a whole lot of love, Hanky P has blossomed into a goofy, affectionate, and loyal companion who’s now ready to find a home of his own.

He’s a pup at heart – playful, curious, and always up for an adventure. Hank thrives with structure and connection and will need a patient, understanding owner committed to continuing the trust-building work we’ve started. The Dogwatch team will be right there beside you, offering guidance and support every step of the way.

While best suited as a solo dog at home, Hank has shown he can happily socialise with other dogs through careful introductions—he especially enjoys the company of the ladies here! He’s sensitive on the lead and can become unsure when approached too quickly by unfamiliar dogs, so calm, positive social experiences will be key.

Hank has been muzzle trained like a pro—a skill he picked up beautifully during his time with us. He walks well on lead, loves a good sniff through the red zone, and thrives on routine. With people he trusts, Hank is affectionate, snuggly, and full of personality. In the office, he’s a star—crate trained, clean, and always ready for a cuddle.

Hank’s adoption will include a gradual transition into the home and an extended period of support from the Dogwatch behaviour team and staff, to ensure both Hank and his new family are set up for success.
