Introducing Jock, a young 7 month old Huntaway X who recently came into our care from the Christchurch City Council. Jock has been enjoying life in foster care and is living with two other female dogs.
He is a social and intelligent dog who needs an owner who is committed to his ongoing training as he can become jumpy when excited! His foster Mum says that he has good house manners, is toilet trained and sleeps through the night.
Jock could be homed with another dog, providing it was the right match. We are not sure what he is like with cats or other small animals. He would do best in a home with dog savvy children. As he is still a young dog, he would do best in a home with a minimal hours home alone (half a day at most) at the start, with the ability to build him up to longer hours home alone.
