Meet Kenny

Kenny is a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog looking for a home that can match his adventurous spirit. Rescued from the Christchurch City Pound in early January, Kenny is now loving life in foster care with his two doggy sisters. He comes from a rough background and truly deserves a loving home where he can continue to thrive. At approximately 18mnths old, he’s ready to start his next chapter.

Kenny is well-socialised and confident in different environments, having calmly encountered bikes, golf carts, and other dogs while out on walks. He enjoys car rides, knows basic commands like sit, down, touch, and wait, and is crate-trained for short periods.

Kenny is a friendly and playful companion who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He’s house-trained and settles well at night but thrives with structure and clear boundaries. His curious and determined nature means he’s always looking for something to do, so he’ll need a secure environment and a family willing to keep him engaged

With the right balance of activity, training, and management, Kenny will be a loyal and entertaining addition to the right home. If you’re looking for a bright, fun-loving dog who’s always up for an adventure, Kenny could be the one for you!

Kenny is still learning to be by himself so needs daytime company with the ability to build up time left alone, because he gets worried where his person has gone so he cannot be left unattended outside.
