Meet Marley!

Marley is an approximately 1 year and 3-month-old mixed breed who joined us from the Christchurch City Pound. Weighing in at around 22 kg, Marley may be small in size, but she’s full of love and sweetness! Having had a tough start in life, Marley is sensitive and sometimes a bit afraid of new things. However, with a little pep talk and a cuddle, she gains confidence and is ready to explore.

Marley is still working on her lead manners and can get overexcited to reach her destination, but she’s eager to learn. Her perfect home would be one where she can experience new things and receive ongoing training with a confident owner who is dedicated to helping her work through her quirks. Marley could do well in a home with dog-confident children and would love a secure backyard to safely play and roam, as she’s built like a little Olympic jumper! While she hasn’t shown any signs of escaping, her athletic build makes it important to ensure her environment is secure.

Marley hasn’t been tested with cats yet but gets along well with other dogs and could comfortably live with a canine companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive girl who’s ready for love and adventure, Marley might be your perfect match!
