More about Peaches
Peaches is a sweet little puppy who is slowly discovering just how wonderful the world can be.
She came into our care with very little life experience, so many everyday things are completely new to her. While she can be a little cautious at first, she is gaining confidence every day and continues to surprise us with how quickly she learns.
Peaches is currently thriving in foster care, where she lives with adults, children, another young dog, and a variety of small animals. Her foster family have worked hard to introduce her to the world at her own pace, helping her build confidence through positive experiences.
She has settled beautifully into a routine and is learning all the important puppy life skills, including:
- Crate training (she happily sleeps through the night in her crate)
- Toilet training
- Harness and lead introduction
- Basic manners such as sitting
- Positive introductions to new people, animals, and environments
- Enrichment and appropriate play
Peaches enjoys playing with her foster brother Sonny, although both puppies have structured play sessions with regular rest breaks to ensure they don’t become overtired or over aroused. She has learnt to settle well and is developing excellent routines.
Like many puppies from her background, Peaches is still a little unsure when faced with something unfamiliar. However, with gentle encouragement and patience, she quickly gains confidence and is becoming braver every week.
She is also very tolerant of handling and happily allows her foster family to brush her and wipe her paws, making grooming a positive experience.
Peaches is looking for a family who understands that although she has made wonderful progress, she is still learning about the world. She will thrive with people who are committed to continuing her training, socialisation, and confidence building using kind, positive methods.
With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Peaches is going to grow into an incredible companion. She has already come so far, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds.
