🐾 Meet Rufus 🐾
Rufus is a very special boy here at Dogwatch 💛
This big, lovable goofball has quickly become well loved by the team. Rufus loves his people, his toys, exploring long grass, and getting out for walks. At around 45kg, he is a whole lot of dog with an equally big personality to match 😄
Rufus is an American Bulldog cross and is looking for an experienced owner who understands large breed dogs and can continue guiding him with structure, consistency, and love.
Rufus is still a young dog and can become overexcited at times, especially when he’s having fun or soaking up attention from his people. Because of this, he will need a home committed to continuing his training and helping him learn how to settle appropriately. He would also suit a home where someone is around often, as he really enjoys company and being involved in day to day life.
So far, Rufus has shown he can be good around other dogs at a distance, with further dog mixing still to come as we continue getting to know him. He’s also been good with kids, however due to his size and enthusiasm, he would be best suited to a home with older, dog savvy children who are comfortable around big dogs.
We have also received information that Rufus may be a curious boy who enjoys wandering, although we are still assessing this ourselves. Because of this, he will need secure fencing and an owner committed to appropriate management.
