Update 27/11/2022 – Sailor is now on a settling in and support period with a family **
Meet our handsome boy Sailor , a 1 year old Cattle Dog x who recently came into our care from the Ashburton District Council Shelter. Sailor is currently in foster care and his foster Mum has said that he is great to have around the house and loves to cuddle up beside her. He is living with a 9-year old child and Sailor is good with him. He is best suited a home that can offer day time company or minimal hours home alone.
Sailor has lived with another young female dog before and has socialised well with another young female dog and an older male dog here at the shelter. He is gaining confidence around other dogs and has being socialising well with dogs that he has met on walks in the community.
Sailor is not suited to a household that has stock . We are unsure what Sailor is like with cats or other small animals as he has not been cat tested.
We are looking for a home for Sailor that is committed to his ongoing training and socialisation. We believe that he will make a fantastic edition to a family!
