Toby is a bright and gentle 6-month-old Staffy cross who recently came to us from Christchurch City Council Shelter. He’s now settling beautifully into foster life and soaking up all the home comforts — soft beds, cuddles, and the joy of being part of a family.
Toby has a unique little stance that we’re currently investigating alongside our friends at Animal Physio. His elbows are being assessed as part of this, and it may be related to past malnutrition or possibly something that needs further support — we’ll know more soon. For now, he’s comfortable, happy, and enjoying all the love and care he deserves.
We’re seeking expressions of interest for Toby’s adoption so that when his medical checks are complete, he’ll be ready to move straight into the loving home he deserves. He’s showing great potential to thrive as a family dog and seems open to living alongside other dogs or even feline friends.
Toby is still new to us, and we’re learning more about him each day — but one thing’s already clear: this boy has a heart full of love and a bright future ahead.
