More about Haze

Update 16/04/22: Applications for Haze have closed as she is now on a one-month’s trial with her new family.

Humorous, awesome, zingy, enjoyable. Introducing our sweet HAZE.

Haze is a lovely 3-year-old Lab x, who came into our care from the Ashburton District Council Shelter, now seeking her forever home. Haze is sweet natured, and a medium-large sized girl who adores human attention.

Haze has wonderful manners around food and will work for her treats (being a lab, food = everything!) She has some basic knowledge of commands and it would be beneficial to future owners and Haze, for this to be continued in a positive reinforced way.

Haze will need a home that can provide suitable containment, as Haze is able to jump over 6ft fences. Since being at the shelter, Haze has been cat-tested and we have considered her to be cat-trainable, but this would not suit a cat that is shy. Careful, steady, and managed introductions would need to be implemented, to ensure that both animals would not become overly stressed and to promote a positive outcome.

Whilst being with us, Haze has been mixed with 3 dogs (a young female that she supposedly lived with prior to her time in the pound), an adult male, and a young female. It has been noticed that although she is a good mixer, she is a very full-on and energetic player, that may not suit all dogs (especially senior dogs). Haze could be either an only dog, or a second dog, but this would need to be managed appropriately.

Haze is a beautiful girl who always looks forward to being given attention, cuddles, and of course, treats. If you think you could offer Haze the home she so deserves, please fill in an application form here: Application Form
