Meet Rocky, a delightful 4.5-year-old Shar Pei X who came into our care from the Christchurch City Council Shelter. He’s not just a dog; he’s a character, a cuddle enthusiast, and even a bit of a fashion icon! Rocky’s dream is to find a cozy home where he can snuggle up on the couch with his favorite humans.
On walks, Rocky is a joy to handle on the lead and behaves well in the community. He appreciates a bit of personal space from other dogs and prefers not to have them all up in his business. Rocky does have the nickname of ‘Uncle Rocky’ as while he’s not so keen on adult dogs, he is superstar with the young puppies that come through the shelter. He’s mastered commands like sit and shake and is eager to learn more, although he may take his time to catch on at times. Ideally, Rocky would thrive in a home with dog-savvy kids and owners who can patiently build up his training.
It’s essential for Rocky to have secure containment, and he’s not suitable for households with cats or other small animals.
